BIOGRAPHY AND PERSONALITY OF A FAMOUS CANCER: ERNEST HEMINGWAY

Writer, born in Oak Park, Illinois, USA. He made frequent trips to Spain and the Austrian Alps, but for the most part was based in Paris.

He published Three Stories & Ten Poems (1923), In Our Time (1925), Torrents of Spring (1926), The Sun Also Rises (1926), Men Without Women (1927), A Farewell to Arms (1929), Death in the Afternoon (1932), The Fifth Column (1938), For Whom the Bell Tolls (1940), The Old Man and the Sea (1952), and received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1954. He became prone to various physical ailments, mental depression, and eventually a form of paranoia, and committed suicide by shooting himself at his home in Ketchum, ID.
