BIOGRAPHY AND PERSONALITY OF A FAMOUS CANCER: ANNE M. LINDBERGH

Writer, aviator. Born on June 22, 1906, in Englewood, New Jersey, USA. Anne Morrow met Charles Lindbergh in 1927, perhaps the most famed man on earth after finishing the nonstop solo transatlantic flight. They fell in love, and got engaged two years later.

Ann got her own pilot’s license in 1930 (she was the first American woman to become a pilot), and worked as Lindbergh’s copilot on many of his trips.

The Lindberghs’ first child, Charles Jr., was born in 1931. On March 1, 1932, the 20-month-old Charles Lindbergh was kidnapped and killed by Richard Hauptmann, what the American press called “The Crime of the Century”. Disturbed by threats made against their other son, Jon, Anne and Charles Lindbergh moved to England late in 1935 to seek refuge. After Charles passed away in 1974, Ann Morrow Lindbergh moved back to Vermont, where she died on February 7, 2001.
